"It seems these folks, predominantly white, Christian, heterosexual, seemingly fundamentalist individuals see “freedom” as a word for them, but when it comes to anyone else that doesn’t fit their mold — not so much.
They attribute “freedom” as something that has been given to them:
The freedom to write discriminatory laws.
The freedom to push religious indoctrination on a supposedly “free” society.
The freedom to say or do whatever they so choose without remorse or regard for what their actions do to others.
And in all honesty… they have the freedom to not like LGBT individuals. They have the freedom to have certain opinions based upon their religious indoctrination. However, they do NOT have the freedom to impose those fundamentalist opinions on a nation that was founded on the freedom of and from religion."
